Leap!

Every day is a leap into full potential. Each day seems more settled. More rounded. More... well more.

It's so wonderful not to apologize for who I am. Not to say "I know, but if". It's simply beyond liberating. It is a new life. A new exploration. A new lens. A new outlook.

This might seem elementary and obvious, but I spent a good part of my life, standing beside myself, apologizing for what I have said, or what I believe, or how I feel. Like a parent of a two year old, worrying that her child's actions reflects bad parenting, I would side with my accusers. And my accusers are simply people. People with different views of what is right and what is appropriate.

What makes them the experts? What makes them right? And not me?

Nothing.

Not a single thing.

Am I always right? Hell, no. I make mistakes. I am human. But they are my mistakes and not opportunities to be crucified at the temple of an other's judgement. And certainly not mistakes that warrant me being the High Priestess at my own execution.

I did that. But no more.

Now I leap.

I look at mistakes and say "Oops! I will do better next time. Or the time after that."

And I am doing better. I am leaping off the ground, away from my lead feet, and soaring into the realm of infinite possibility.

Because anything is possible.

And the view from above. Is. Spectacular.

Leap high and proud! There is nothing to stop you... You can jump over the biggest of hurdles...

...because anything is possible.

Amen. I do not think your observations and outlook sound elementary. Some people never self-analyze, reflect, or actualize. How lucky you are that you can-and that you do- and how unfortunate for those who do not.

Here's to happy leaping!
Merry Writings!

Awesome! The freedom to say - "Yeah! - that's the way that I do it.- You other folks do it your own way."

No autopsy,no foul!

It's so liberating to let go of all those fears and just be who you are. I love that you are seeing things from above... and knowing that the possibilities are endless! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I will be offering prints in my shop sometime in the future, so perhaps you will want one of those! xxx

Good for you! When I got out from under my artist block, a little over two years ago now, I felt like you do now - freed.

It doesn't stop - it just gets so you're more used to it, and you don't notice how different it feels. It starts to feel normal (because it IS).

Oh, Genie, I applaud your liberation! Good for you and so insightful for you to realize that their opinions are just that - their opinions. Their opinions do not make them right nor does it give anyone else the right to play judge and jury on your life.

((hugs)) and much love to you, my sweet G,

Rebecca

You know what's neat about teaching art? Kids learning to accept and own their mistakes..and watching them turn those mistakes into beautiful pieces of art. So often as children we are made to feel bad for our mistakes...or our mistakes are totally disregarded and made trite just because we're children. I love having the opportunity to help children transform mistakes into beauty...if only we could really learn this when we were little...how much more smooth adulthood would be.

Peace & Love.
