Baby Boy

This weekend, a new little person came into the world.
My friend gave birth to an absolutely gorgeous little baby boy, Tristan.
He is perfect. :) I will have pictures at some point, but suffice it to say, he stole my heart the moment I got him in my arms.

And it's Monday, so it's time for a little dance. This video and song are very silly, but infectious.

Dancing yet? :)

I have very little time this morning because I will be running a week-long Photoshop unit; and I will be doing it at a school that is stingy with equipment.

Here is what's on the menu this week:

A Postcard.

An Ad.

A Book Jacket.

I made these three samples last night and will be showing students a step by step on how to recreate them, then give them a chance to make their own. This will be a fun week for all of us.

I have so much to do this week and my grading is piling up. Since all three classes are working on their final projects (only 3 weeks of classes left! YAY!), I hope to get some time during the day to put a dent on my marking load before I get more to grade.

Most employees work from sun to sun, but a teacher's work is never done! And I'm considering summer school... Does anyone have a straight jacket? :)

CONGRATS, give my love to your friend and Tristan. And I do love your bookcover, guess has to do with my love for Shakespeare. So well done. Hug across the pond.

Welcome to the world, Tristan! I'll bet "auntie" Genie Sea will spoil you rotten!

The Photoshop unit looks like it will be fun-- I would have loved to learn how to do something like that when I was in school.

Oh how fabulous! Welcome to the World Tristan!
I love babies too Genie (so long as they belong to someone else these days!).

Wish I could take part in your Photoshop Unit! I really do need it - I keep reverting to PaintShop Pro - just because it all seems easier. (Well I can find stuff & do things in one step instead of 3 or 4 that seem to involve numbers...thereby forcing me to use math....)

Great music - great fun. Have a fabulous Monday :o)

I do love your photoshop art. Very cool. And the song is fun. Now, I know I only know you from your blog..I think you should take the Summer off to work on other things you love. Maybe create your own workshops? I know you have a a lot of creative ideas bubbling inside you.
Congrats to your friend, on her sweet baby boy.

ahhh sweet Tristan, Congratulations to friend and you, and many blessings on the young son.

No straight jacket, cushions for a padded room though??? :)

kiss his toes, there is nothing sweeter!

I'm happy to hear you are almost to the end of this term but not so happy to hear you are considering more for the summer....it would seem you need a nice long vacation with nothing to do but things for genie!

Congrats to everyone blessed by this little boy!

If you decide to do summer school you're going to need more than a straight jacket!

Good luck. <3

Welcome, little Tristan! Congratulations to family and friends!

Your classes look awesome, Genie, and I wish I was one of those lucky kids in your class. :)

(P.S. I'm getting my act together and will send you some of those questions this week for TL if you're still interested.)

Congrats Auntie!!

Okay - lmao...LOVE the photoshop introduction pieces you've made. The shoe ad is fabulous! The book jacket - excellent! hahaha!

And hold onto your sanity during this end of the year crunch-time! And summer school? No, no, no!...you have to do your part to fulfill the illusion that teachers sit around drinking fruity drinks under umbrella tables all summer!!!!!

P.S. Thanks for going to bat for me! :)

Thank you so much everyone for your well-wishes! I will be passing them on :)

Paula: Thank you :) Shakespeare does rock :) Hugs!

(intothe)Dawn: You got that right. Tristan will be spoiled! He is already very much loved :) Maybe I will post some PS tutorials on here :)

Tracy: They sure are! :)

Kim: LOL! I might very well BE nuts. I need the cash :)

Deb: I actually prefer Corel Paint Shop Pro and have used it extensively. It's a much more user friendly program, and has more options. :)

Shell: Hmm! You give me something to think about. Creating my own workshops... What a great idea! I so want to take the summer off, and after this year, I need it. I also need the cash...

Cyn: LOL! I might very well need the cushions to stop me from banging my head against the wall... :)

Linda: Oh! His toes! Yes! :) It does sound delicious! I wish I could do things for me and earn the cash I need :)

Tabby: LOL Thanks hon! :)

Wendy: Oh! Or you can go to you tube and search for me & my - baby boy. :)

Paula: How about an online class? :)

Tori: LOL! You said it Tori :)

Pam: You do your thing! I am here when you're ready :)

Boho Mama: Glad you like the pieces :) LOL! Teachers with husbands/wives with a great income can do that, not this single home owner. Haha. No worries, sugar. That's what friends are for :)

Robyn: Welcome back honey! :)

Babies bring out the best in us and just make us smile even when we don't want to. I love their smell and their baby talk...i just love everything about them! My nephew just had his fourth child, Gabriel, who has the longest eyelashes you've ever seen on a boy and the biggest eyes and the most, sweetest personality, always smiling and cooing. I just love him to death.
