Wish the Wish

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

We made it to the half way point in the work week, for most of us! Some people call it hump day. I call it Wishcasting Day!
The incomparable Jamie asks us today,

What do you wish for your body?

That's easy!

I wish to lose weight, get back the svelte, healthy body I had before I started ballooning.

And it's not just a matter of wishing. It's a matter of finding the right foods in the right balance, the right herbs, and the right activity schedule.

I have been battling this most of my life. I have tried every diet available. Every exercise program imaginable. The one time I was successful, I tried nothing. I just walked to and from work, and ate what I wanted in smaller portions. I went to acupuncture weekly.
I lost 100 pounds.

I am trying to reproduce that, hoping it will work again.

But the most important thing is attitude.
An attitude of success.
An attitude of acceptance and love of self.
An attitude of release.

Today, I release the burden. I release all the negative vibes that smother being big, and all the negative reinforcement out there. I release the idea that I am somehow less beautiful, less worthy, less attractive. And with that release, I let go of the weight that has been a barrier and a haven from having to put myself out there, into the world. Vulnerable.

So I have said, so shall it be. :)

OH Genie!!!!!! The whole notion of releasing! I know that, but somehow I've completely overlooked that critically important thing! RELEASE IT! Thank you so very much for wishing this because I believe you may have just liberated me, also!

LOVE YOU!

And, as Genie so clearly wishes for herself, so I lovingly and with intention wish for her also...

So mote it be!!!

You can do it and I know you will do it! It sounds like you know what works for you. Sometimes less planning works better. I will join you on this journey soon!

As Genie wishes for herself, so I wish for her...and for myself...

You are amazing Genie. This is the healthiest self-love weightloss manifesto I have ever, ever heard ! Oh, I am so inspired by you, you have no idea. You said what my heart and soul are saying to me everyday behind the fortress I have built around them for protection. That is the barrier I need to release. I see it. Thank you for helping me see it.

Wishcasting...big time, powerful stuff...

Yes, genie, you shall have whatever you set that mind of yours to, of that *I* am sure! If you lost 100#, you shall do it again....and if not, for whatever reason, you are still a beautiful woman with a heart that is warm and loving, an attribute not appreciated except by those who know what is real in life...

blessings, my dear....I am looking forward to seeing you wreck that journal! ;)

Amen to that sister!!
Amazing, but I've also "stopped trying", stopped driving myself mental over every little thing I put in my mouth.
I cut out Tostitos, all chips, etc., am walking and biking more with the nice weather and ha
ve lost 8 lbs in 5 weeks!!!!
* I've also started eating whole grain oatmeal every morning (dr.'s advice), and I swear the pounds are melting off as a result.

Go girl!!! You can make this happen!

Oh, Genie! I love your attitude and thought process! Releasing all the negative associated with weight loss and management is so very hard but so very necessary. Thank you for the reminder.

I lost 30 lbs in 3 months just over a year ago on WW. I've since put it back on. The program works, but I hit a plateau and tired of counting points and with my allergies, I couldn't follow their Core Plan. I believe it truly is all about the correct size portions, eating sensibly, and getting exercise.

I know you will accomplish your goals in this area because you've got the right mindset.

I take this journey with you, Genie. Thank you for the reminder to release.

Sometime in my 50s, it got harder to 'get back' to a my ideal - tho as so many said, we need to love ourselves 'as is!' . . .

in the mid 90s I went to Alaska with a French Chef, to wash dishes in a 'fly-in' fishing camp - & put on about 20# in 2 months!! Lost it that fall, when I was back at the vegetarian resort, walking everywhere, eating lighter, lots of GOOD water . . .

I love the coconut oil (& have been avoiding soy, which is said to depress the thyroid & slow metabolism!) . . . more energy, anyway.

Hugs!

oh, Genie, I can't tell you how many times I've been here these past two days and still have had to walk away without leaving a comment!

well, as you so wish for yourself love, i wish for you also! i have a coworker who wants to lose 100 lbs. and she just joined a gym. the trainer told her she needed to burn 3500 calories a week! 3500 calories! i nearly fell off my chair. does that seem right to you? well, anyway, she's burning around 400-600 a day but she works out 4 times a week so it still doesn't add up to that but, you know what, it's still better than what she was doing before which was nothing. plus, she's changed her diet (previously all fried foods and tons of sugar, not a vegetable, fruit or smart calorie intake to be found!). now, she's exercising, eating better, she's feeling great, and she's psyched. and, with her, what finally made her committed this time around was her language. she went from a "i don't know if i can do it but i'll give it my best and try," to "i'm doing it, it can be done, and you can't tell me no." wow! she's an inspiration i tell you.

now, i'll be thinking of you on your journey every time i see her and will send you positive energy filled with blessings and strength....

((hugs))
