ReplyDeleteGenie - this is particularly beautiful. I love the echos and rhymes that run through this as unpredictably, but organically, as a vine of morning glories. It starts in the second stanza with the "enliven / fly" echo, but it's the third and fourth stanzas that have the most going on. gush-lush, fingers-linger, linger-water and in the fourth stanza the "Soil I slide" and entwined-vines, and the one word final rhyme couplet of "mingling."
